Try this acu point for nausea and dizziness

It's hard to imagine but sometimes I have to take a step back and relish the joy I receive through my work as an integrative wellness practitioner. I have helped countless people improve their lives for the better in so many ways, and they in turn have helped their friends and family through my tips and ideas. What a gift. It's a humbling experience to touch so many people's lives in a positive way. It's what I enjoy doing and I'm so grateful to do so.

Earlier this week I had an episode of sudden onset nausea and dizziness. I didn't know what to do other than think why is this happening? What did I do to turn it on? What is my environment like? And so on. After a few minutes of processing fact-finding details I immediately went to GV26. The point right between the nose and the upper lip. Deep breaths and firm pressure. Voila, a few minutes later I was feeling 'back to normal.'

If you've worked with me you know about GV26. It's a go-to point. It has helped me with dizziness, mental alertness and enhanced cognition, clearing stuffiness in the sinus area and even muscle cramps. Children can do this on themselves during tests at school, too. This is the point I went to for helping me cope and come back into my body. Yes, this simple point does all that and more.

Go ahead. Try it. Hold the point between your nose and upper lip for 1-2 minutes as you take slow, deep breaths. Close your eyes and take another deep breath. Exhale slowly. Repeat.

Doesn't that feel awesome? You can do this several times a day to revitalize your energy.

This simple little point is wonderful to incorporate daily as part of your self-care routine. Try it while on your next Zoom call or while waiting in line at the grocery store. Your body will thank you.

Take time for the simple things that can bring great reward to the body. Don't over complicate things. Keep it simple.

If you know anyone who is looking to reduce pain and inflammation, enhance cognitive function or lessen their level of anxiety please do not hesitate to give me a call. I'm always available for you, your family and friends for health coaching consultations and resources during this quarantine time. I can be reached at 201-338-0483.

In health and gratitude,

Rena
