Three letters is all you need to know - MLD. Manual lymphatic drainage massage - a holistic approach

A poorly functioning lymphatic system is associated with the development of chronic disease.

Would you drive a car without changing the oil regularly? If you didn’t you’d have bigger problems down the line with the vehicle, wouldn’t you? Just like an automobile your lymphatic system can become congested and lead to adverse health reactions including soreness of breast, fatigue, chronic skin problems, cold limbs, bloating, headaches, body rigidity, and weakened immunity – just to name a few.

Did you know swelling of the lymph nodes or “glands” in the neck are an indication that the body is in the process of fighting off an infection? Some people with digestive concerns have sluggish lymphatic systems. The gut is lined with millions of lymphatic vessels (called lacteals) that absorb the fats and fatty acids that we ingest and transport them directly to the heart where they enter the circulatory system as fuel.

Lymphatic vessels contained in the intestines are easily susceptible to dysfunction as a result of an unhealthy diet. The lymphatic vessels at these sites are partly responsible for the formation of triglycerides and cholesterol because they transport fats and lipids.

Eating an anti-inflammatory diet is beneficial for removing toxic build up in your lymphatic system, Know that the lymph system can also be blocked or restricted by scar-tissue from and injury or surgery but is able to regenerate itself.

Known Chronic health conditions stem from stagnant lymph in the body. Some conditions people may experience with stagnant lymphatic systems include fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, skin and digestive issues, cancer, lipedema, lymphedema - just to name a few.

It is important to balance the anti-inflammatory pathways of the body.

Manual lymphatic drainage massage is a very light, gentle, rhythmic method of massage therapy. It is a medical modality, good for so many conditions. As an extra bonus, it is relaxing and energizing.

I dedicate my time to helping people feel better and be their best. I’ve been sick and tired. And tired of not having answers to why I felt like crap. And tired of not being heard.

I bring it all to each session. I listen, and I fully present and hold space for you in a very healing environment.

Take steps for your health transformation and be supported along the way.
